JACKSON, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will close Campbell Street over I-40 this weekend to begin bridge demolition. This phase of work will consist of removing the eastern portion of the Campbell Street bridge. Following the weekend closure, Campbell Street over I-40 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the remainder of the construction project.

NASHVILLE – Thanksgiving travelers will not be delayed by construction on Tennessee roads during this holiday. TDOT will halt all lane closure activity on interstates and state highways in anticipation of higher traffic volumes across the state. All construction related lane closures will be stopped beginning at noon on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020.

On Friday, November 6, 2020, TDOT officially opened the SR 66 Extension in Hamblen and Jefferson Counties. The newly constructed, four-lane roadway begins at I-81 Exit 4 (State Route 341) and ends just past State Route 160, a distance of 5.2 miles.
