Construction is underway on an interchange improvement project on Interstate 24 at Hickory Hollow Parkway in Nashville. The current interchange at Exit 60 is a partial access facility, which was constructed to accommodate the Hickory Hollow Mall area in the 1970s. The $30.5 million project will modify the interchange to a full access facility, allowing drivers to access the south side (Cane Ridge area) of I-24 from Exit 60.

TDOT contract crews will close lanes of I-24 East at mile marker 182 between 8:00 p.m. EDT Friday, October 5, and 6:00 a.m. EDT Monday, October 8, 2018, in order to replace a section of damaged and deteriorating concrete west of Exit 183 (Germantown Road/Belvoir Avenue). At least one lane will remain open during this time.

On Friday, September 28, TDOT crews will install barrier rail and begin excavation of a sinkhole on SR 111 South near Soddy Daisy. Following excavation, the sinkhole will be filled with new material and the roadway will be paved. One lane of traffic will remain open during the work. An estimated completion date is not yet available.

TDOT contract crews will temporarily close a stretch of Poplar Avenue in both directions between 9 p.m. Friday, September 28, and 6 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018.

On Sunday, September 23, 2018, TDOT maintenance crews will provide traffic control for recovery of a tractor trailer that recently went over an embankment at mile marker 130.5 in Grundy County. Traffic control will be in place at 6:00 a.m. CDT at Exit 152 (Kimball) in Marion County and will include rolling roadblocks.
