NASHVILLE – In an effort to keep Tennessee children safe this Halloween night, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) continued its visits to the homes of thousands of high-risk sex offenders.

JACKSON – To enhance the safety of Tennessee children, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) has visited the homes of more than 3,500 sex offenders (252 in Jackson) this month.

PARIS – While the TDOC Community Supervision division has been working all week conducting compliance checks of sex offenders across the state, the agency took time to join our local law enforcement partner for Operation Trick-or-Treat.

TULLAHOMA - On Friday, August 30, 2019, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) welcomed new correctional officers into our workforce during a graduation ceremony at the Tennessee Correction Academy in Tullahoma.

MEMPHIS – In an effort to assist the offender population in Shelby County and promote successful reentry, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) held a Career and Resource Fair at the Memphis Day Reporting Center, this week.

Tennessee is a finalist in four categories for national awards that will be announced during a ceremony in October in Nashville. The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) selected 30 finalists across 10 categories for the State IT Recognition Awards.

NASHVILLE – The death sentence of Stephen West was executed by means of electrocution on August 15, 2019 in accordance with the laws of the state of Tennessee. The sentence was carried out at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville.
