DRESDEN – The Tennessee Department of Correction’s “Operation Clean Up” continued yesterday at the Dresden Probation Parole field office.

NASHVILLE – Every day across this great state, the staff of the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) supervises more than 20-thousand inmates and nearly 80-thousand offenders on community supervision.

WARTBURG - The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is pleased to announce that one of its East Tennessee facilities recently passed their American Correctional Association (ACA) audit with high marks. Morgan County Correctional Complex (MCCX) recently passed the facilities’ ACA audit thus completing a key step to earning reaccreditation.

MEMPHIS - A minimum custody offender, Terry Mason #143218, who absconded from Mark Luttrell Transition Center (MLTC) is back in Tennessee Department of Correction custody.

MURFREESBORO – In an effort to assist the offender population of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County, the Murfreesboro Day Reporting and Community Resource Center (DRC/CRC) will be holding a career fair on Friday, October 26th.

MEMPHIS – Late last night, offender Terry Mason #143218 absconded from the Mark Luttrell Transition Center (MLTC). Shortly before 10 last night, Correctional Officers determined that Mason had not returned from his place of employment.

KNOXVILLE – In an effort to assist the offender population in Knoxville and surrounding communities, the Knoxville Day Reporting and Community Resource Center (DRC/CRC) collaborated with Probation Parole Officers at the Tennessee Department of Correction’s (TDOC) Knoxville Field Office to hold a Career & Resource Expo.

MEMPHIS – Wednesday night the Memphis Day Reporting Center (DRC) held its Quarterly ‘Friends and Family’ event which was created and designed to serve as an educational and informational program for the family and friends of those currently enrolled in the DRC program regarding addiction and how they can provide support and assistance to those suffering from addiction.

KNOXVILLE – In an effort to assist the offender population in Knoxville and surrounding communities, the Knoxville Day Reporting and Community Resource Center (DRC/CRC) will be holding a Career & Resource Fair.

NASHVILLE – Due to the 10-day reprieve, inmate Edmund Zagorski will be moved from death watch back to death row within the next 24 hours.

NASHVILLE – Death row inmate Edmund Zagorski has decided to forgo a final meal.

NASHVILLE – In accordance with protocol, inmate Edmund G. Zagorski #102839 was moved to death watch this morning shortly after midnight.

NASHVILLE – Today the American Correctional Association (ACA) announced Tennessee Department of Correction Commissioner Tony Parker as President-Elect of this nearly 150 year old organization.
